      If there is one line of production that Bobbilies are very proud of, it is the indigenous development of wedding rings for ethnic Zambian men and women at affordable price both in Silver and Gold. The evolution is an interesting story.

      Way back in early nineties, we, at Bobbilies were anguished at our inability to come up with an affordable Jewelry to our ethnic Zambian customers. This, frustration got us in to brainstorming which eventually conceptualized the first indigenous Zambian Wedding Jewelry. Hitherto, the wedding rings were either imported and hence very expensive or locally made- badly designed and poorly crafted.

      We reminisce with great satisfaction, the road to the development of close to Twenty-Five plus designs of wedding rings at Bobbilies design room. At the cost of being called immodest, we declare that we have lions share in the wedding rings market of Zambia.

      Eventually, to reach, those who love silver for its aesthetics or affordability, we introduced the silver version of the same twenty-five designs. This became a phenomenal success, so much so that, today, Bobbilies is synonymous with Wedding Rings among our ethnic Zambian customers.

      The idea of Costume (Fashion) Jewelry is not new. What we have tried to achieve at Bobbilies is to dispel that terrible misconception that fashion jewelry – must be synthetic, artificial and hence cheap.

      Our Costume Jewelry is neither artificial nor synthetic, yes, relatively cheaper. Unlike conventional costume Jewelry (mostly synthetic), we make use of all the naturally accruing gemstones and make trendy designs. We make them to be worn on heavy winter clothes as well as light summer clothes. We make them for women of all ages, all dresses and all skin colors.

      We procure almost all the rough gemstones occurring in various geo environments of Africa. From Hydrothermal reaction products to Pegmatite mineralization from Zambia, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Tanzania, Mozambique, Madagascar, Kenya Etc.

      We buy various rough gemstones from African small scale miners-Viz. Emeralds, Sapphires, Rubies, Tanzanite, Aquamarine Tourmalines, Amethyst, Citrine Etc.

      The top most quality and far size rough pieces are cut and polished at our Bobbili HQ in Lusaka. The smaller, nevertheless good quality rough gems are cut and polished in India. Hence our smaller faceted stones become very affordable and are of superior quality that India has always been known for both.
